week007-modeling development

modifying the model. detail/ paint skin weight/ make teeth

Based on modeling that has been roughly done. In order to make the model move, we put bone binding on the model. This is the first step to getting him moving. Bone binding needs to be done according to the rules of human bones. Can not be placed at will, which determines the late brush weight when a lot of work.

Brush weight is mainly in order to let the character do expression after the bone to know the corresponding part of the move.

At the end of the course, Nick teaches us how to make teeth, which applies some of the things we taught in the previous two exercises. For example, stretching, base extrusion, etc

week008-tracking

This is the picture that was replaced

Most of the nodes used in this job are similar to the previous ones, mainly using 2d tracking, merge, roto, etc. These basic nodes are very frequent in the applications nuke works on.

week 007- iphone

This job is primarily a 2D tracking node based job. The footage I used was a screenshot from Instagram. In this assignment, I used the method taught by the teacher. I also tried to remove the green screen with keylight, but this method is a bit unstable, and if I use this method, I need to add some more nodes to stabilize the screen.

Week006- Development for Model

This week, the topology was modified on the basis of last week’s model, and the ears were also completed. The wiring of the entire model now looks much better than before.

After basically completing the topology of the low poly model, we mapped the model. However, this is different from the mapping in the previous two jobs, which requires us to adjust using the uv editor. Otherwise, it is very likely that the skin of the eyes will be on the mouth.

This is a preview of what the material will look like after you’ve put it in place. Not too bad.

Week006

The authenticity of a documentary is ‘deeply linked to notions of realism and the idea that documentary images are linked to notions of realism and the idea that documentary images bear evidence of events that actually happened, by virtue of the indexical relationship between image and reality’

Horness Roe. A. (2013) Animated Documentary. Basingstoke: Palgrave Macmillan.

I see documentary as a record of a true story. It distinguishes itself from an idealistic existence. Documentaries record what happens with a camera, capturing the story of what happens in each moment. Film records the fictional stories that people write about. A documentary is a record of what is happening in the moment, or a story that really happened in a series of pictures.

Week006 — Color Grade

BEFORE

AFTER

This is a color assignment. The color palette node I mainly used in this assignment was Grade. I mainly wanted to give the impression that the light was hitting the tail of the plane. So I roto the tail, and I do an extra color palette on the tail.

This is not a difficult assignment. But color modulation is a very important part of the post, and it is a very important job to make different elements of the scene match each other.

Week 005 – Hot ballon tracking & roto

In this version of the assignment, I didn’t add many elements. It just adds to the trajectory of the balloon and the plane. The main nodes used in this job are: Merge/Transform/Roto/2D tracking.

This is basically my final assignment. I changed the foreground based on the original first version, adding some particle elements in the background, and then toned the different materials to make them match better. But in this final edition, there were some flaws. The combination of several elements is not at its most natural. And I think if I add a 2d tracking to the foreground to match the movement of the mountains behind it it will make the whole picture more natural. There are some flaws in the graphics, but I think my idea is good and the video looks interesting.

This is a hot air balloon I made in maya class, and I used it for my nuke project.

Week004- Roto Running man

The content of this lecture is mainly about roto. roto is a very important node in nuke usage. This assignment is mainly to roto a moving image. It takes a lot of patience. My homework is a little rough. roto needs more detail.

Week005 — Male Low Poly Modeling

Converting the model to a low poly model.

The purpose of this lesson is to convert a model with many facets into a low one. This is the original model that we’re going to use. We will build on this original model for the topology. The generalization of the face makes it a low poly model.

The above two pictures are the line state after the basic topology is completed. We’ve actually only done half a face topology, because this is a relatively symmetrical figure, so we just topology half a face and mirror it, and then adjust the details. Although my topology looks complete, there are still big problems. There are many triangular faces in my model, which should not appear, which will cause a lot of problems in the later work. So I need to change my error topology in the next few days.

Ryan (Chris Landreth)_Week 05

According to the content of this animation, it belongs to the animated version of “Seven Deadly Sins”, which shows the ugly side of human nature in the animation. I think this animation is about an attitude towards life. When you feel life in gratitude, you will have a more positive attitude towards life. When you face life negatively and negatively, you will feel that everything is negative, and the negative emotions cover up your “perspective” to see the positive side.

The presentation and recording of the animation, I think, encourages the audience to look at life from a more positive perspective. It is a very straightforward statement of the protagonist’s mental state and thoughts during the “low down period”. The presentation of the picture is negative, but the deep meaning he expresses is positive. When the audience sees the “ugly” faces brought by a negative attitude, I think the audience will think about whether a positive life attitude will be more beneficial to the face. Life.

Animation is for children, not for adults? I can only agree 50%. I think it has something to do with the rating system for movies. Adults can also watch animation. This kind of thing does not change with age, it is just everyone’s hobby. Everyone has the right to freely choose a viewing category. But not all animations are suitable for children to watch. Because there are many animations involving violence, gore, and pornography, it is not suitable for children whose thinking and judgment skills are not fully developed.

Whether this animated documentary can lead to a more general perception. I think the answer is “no”, not everyone has the same understanding of the film, and not everyone can feel the core of what the director wants to express. I don’t think this movie is a “popular science” movie.
